I was born and raised in Saratoga County, New York. My interest in photography started during my childhood. Upon receiving my first digital camera I photographed anything outdoors in my backyard and while hiking the Adirondacks. By exploring the outdoors, I grew to appreciate the nexus between art and science.
I spent the summer of 2021 in rural Northeastern New Mexico as a member of the photography services team at Philmont Scout Ranch. Immersing myself in the Philmont culture, backpacking in the back country, and collaborating with the conservation department confirmed my intent to capture and tell stories of the environment and people in the outdoors.
As a visual journalist, I’m passionate about continuing to explore the relationship between art and science to show how climate change is affecting our planet and how people can make a difference.
