Alex Snyder was a really interesting person to speak to. I appreciated his honesty, he seems to be a blunt and to-the-point kind of person. Alex works as an editor for The Nature Conservancy and has worked as a photographer for the Peace Corps. Working for a place like Peace Corps would certainly be something I'd look out for in the future. I definitely plan on reaching out to Alex and asking him about where I might be able to look for a job like that.
Looking through his work I'm impressed by how far his reach is in skill. As someone who is interested in editing and shooting, it was cool to see someone do both. I connected to Alex's stories about his upbringing in Ohio, always being in nature. That's very similar to my own upbringing. My takeaway from our conversation with Alex: to push for the jobs and stories you have a passion for.
